Cell Salt #12 Silicea

The twelfth and final cell salt of the original cell salts is silicea, also called silica. This cell salt can be beneficial for detoxing or pulling things out of the body. It is also regarded as the cell salt for hair and nails as well as connective tissue.

I specifically keep silica in my first aid kid in the event of a sliver or tick bite. Whomever is dealing with the tick or sliver takes some silica cell salt under their tongue, making it easy and noninvasive. If the cell salt potency is not enough to budge it then I will grab silica in 30c potency next. This is one of those easy things I can keep on hand and no one fights me about taking it.

In general, just as with the other cell salts there are different symptoms that may indicate a silica cell salt deficiency. This is nowhere near an exhaustive list, but it is a good starting point.

Potential signs of deficiency:

  • sweaty hands and feet
  • stinky feet
  • dry brittle nails
  • cold body
  • smelly armpits
  • light and noise sensitivity
  • split ends

Potential emotional signs of deficiency:

  • difficulty thinking
  • despondent and disgusted with life
  • shyness
  • quick to anger

Potential facial signs of deficiency:

  • wrinkles
  • wrinkles in front of the ears (see image below)
  • laugh lines
  • brittle hair
  • brittle nails
  • shiny skin
  • small pores
  • pale skin
  • crow’s feet

Potentially helpful for:

  • skin eruptions
  • brittle hair and nails
  • mastitis
  • swelling of ears
  • body odor
  • cysts
  • asthma
  • arthritis
  • constipation
  • diarrhea
  • infertility
  • suppressed menstruation
  • multiple sclerosis
  • slivers
  • stretch marks
  • pus
