Homeopathy is a whole other world, and it can be rather overwhelming when you start. It will come with practice, I promise.
Kits
Homeopathy kits are a fabulous way to get started. There are several different kits out there that you can choose from. I personally love the ones from Helios as they aren’t as overwhelming as some of the others, yet they cover the typical needs. Helios has several different options to fit your needs.
The one I recommend everyone start with is the basic 36 kit. There is also a basic 18 kit if you want to start with something even smaller.
Each kit comes with its own materia medica, which is basically your guide for which remedy to use in different situations. It goes into which symptoms to look for to match the specific remedy that is needed. Generally, the materia medica in each kit is all you need, but sometimes you will need to dig deeper to figure out which remedy matches. This is where the resources later in this post come in.
Another Helios kit that is good to have on hand is the accident and emergency kit. This kit has remedies in 200c, whereas the basic 36 and basic 18 kits are all 30c remedies. The higher potency (200c) is in this kit because higher potency is generally used in emergencies and when an accident happens. We use this kit quite frequently in my house.
If you are pregnant or newly postpartum the childbirth kit is a must have. The materia medica and remedies in this kit cover pregnancy, labor, birth, nursing, and postpartum. I did not have this kit with my first, but I did with my second and it made a huge difference for me especially with the afterbirth pains.
Helios also has a pet kit and a traveler kit if those are something that would benefit you.
Combinations
With sickness especially, combination remedies can be really helpful. Colds seem to be the hardest to match remedies with. The combination remedies are also great with littles who can’t express what they are feeling or give the details you need to properly match a remedy for them.
Other Homeopathic Companies
Most of these companies offer single remedies as well as combination remedies and their own kits.
As long as the homeopathics are stored properly they can basically last forever. They just need to be kept away from strong smells, so do not store them by essential oils. Homeopathics also need to be kept away from radiation, so keep them away from your wifi router, cell phone any smart meters on your home.

Homeopathy under fire
The FDA is removing homeopathics off the shelves and has classified them as unapproved. This unapproved status means that technically homeopathy is illegal and can be ordered to be removed at any time by the FDA. Please take a moment to send a prewritten letter to congress. Good post. I learn something totally new and challenging on blogs I stumbleupon on a daily basis. Its always useful to read content from other authors and practice something from their websites.
