The question I probably get asked most is what the best vaccine resources are to help someone make a decision on whether to vaccinate or not.
I have been researching vaccines and giving talks on vaccines for roughly 8 years now. It all started because I knew I reacted to the flu vaccine and when I brought that up to my doctor I was told that wasn’t possible. I must have gotten sick with something at the same time I got the vaccine. If it had happened only one time then yeah maybe, but multiple times? I think something else is going on.
This planted the seed and then later in college I had a professor who was so belligerent about vaccines to the point of telling her brother if he didn’t vaccinate his baby, she would drive down there and do it for him. She could see absolutely nothing wrong with vaccines and thought anyone who opposed them was a moron. This was a huge red flag for me.
Her persistence in how amazing they were for everyone really got me thinking because every medication has side effects. And there are people in the world who react to different medications. They are not a one size fits all no matter what it is.
Once I jumped down the vaccine rabbit hole there was no turning back. The more I learned the more I needed to share what I was learning with others. If this information had been available to my parents, they would have made a completely different decision. This is true for many parents.
