Calc fluor can be used for acute as well as chronic conditions.
For acute conditions like a cold, results can generally be felt rather quickly. I have had it help within a couple minutes. Chronic conditions generally take a bit of time before you can see or feel results. With chronic conditions it took time for the problem to build, and it is going to take time to reverse unfortunately.
If you find that you are in need of several different cell salts, they can be combined and taken at one time. You do not need to address needs one at a time. Thank goodness!

With cell salts, just like with homeopathic remedies they should be taken a minimum of 30 minutes before or after food, drink and brushing teeth. Of course it is always better to take the cell salt even not following the rules, than to completely skip it all together.
